The short version
We use your photos only to check them for recalls, and we delete them right after. We don't use cookies, we don't track you, and we never sell anything about you.
Your photos
- We use your photos only to check them for recalls.
- Photos are checked on our own servers running open models.
- Before the check, we remove hidden details from them, like where the photo was taken.
- We delete them as soon as the check is done. If the site is busy, they're deleted within a few minutes anyway. We never keep a copy.
- The written result (for example, which recall matched) is kept for about ten minutes so the page can show it, then it's deleted too.
If you ask for an invite code
- We store your email address, the time you asked and, if you chose recall alerts, the categories you picked. Nothing else.
- We use it only to send you an invite code and, if you asked, recall alerts.
- Invite and alert emails are sent through Gmail (Google).
- We keep it until you ask us to delete it, or delete it 12 months after our last email to you, whichever comes first.
- To have it deleted, email us at cleartolist@gmail.com or reply to any email from us.
Counting visits
We count things like how many people visited and how many checks were done each day, as totals only. We don't use cookies, and we don't store your IP address, your browser details or anything that identifies you.
Who else sees your data
No one we sell to, because we don't sell data. The site runs on a hosting provider (Render), which processes your requests to run the site, and emails go out through Gmail (Google). Recall information comes from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Children
ClearToList isn't intended for children under 13.
